Why does Apple review the first TestFlight builds of new versions? It's frustrating to go through when all you're trying to do is ship a bug fix to your users quickly.

@rlfb it's maddening that it's often quicker to get approved for the actual App Store than it is for TestFlight.

Still waiting 🙃⏳

@phill I didn’t even think of that! My betas usually take about 24h… So a minimum of 48h turnaround to ship live… precious time that could be used to test the fix instead…

How long have you been waiting? 😅

@rlfb 24 hours!? Dude, I've had betas stuck in review for days, even a week.

@phill Ouch… The most I’ve had might have been 2 or 3 days.

How big's your beta group? I'd assume there's a correlation. Bigger group => More scrutiny?

Follow

@rlfb Perhaps, but even then sometimes they go through quickly (a few hours), and other times a few days. It's so hard to plan anything around it. I now just try to submit a new build immediately after the first is approved, even if nothing has changed.

@phill Yeah I try to do that but forgot for this one… 🙄
